The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our Geriatrics and Extended Care Service Line. As a Geriatrics and Extended Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our veteran patients, with a focus on geriatric and extended care services.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide medical leadership and guidance to the Geriatrics and Extended Care team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in geriatrics and extended care.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in geriatrics or a related field.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the United States.
- Board certification in geriatrics or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
