Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead our dynamic engineering team within the aerospace sector. The successful candidate will oversee the manufacturing processes of cutting-edge components, ensuring that all projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and adhere to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement efficient engineering processes and standards to improve production quality and throughput.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering activities with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain operations.
  • Supervise and mentor manufacturing engineers, providing technical guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and documentation for compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with research and development to transition new products from concept to production, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies and regulations.
  • Manage and control engineering project budgets, forecasts, and resources to meet financial targets.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project goals and specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a closely related industry.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in an engineering environment.
  • Proficient in CAD software and engineering design principles.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, metal fabrication, and composites.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a technical team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments such as Quality, Production, and R&D.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software tools.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Physical ability to work on the shop floor and attend to problems as they arise.
