Job Description:

Job Summary: ERG Inc is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join our team. As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for developing mechanical designs for renovations and upgrades to existing buildings at a federal site in Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements and technical review of design packages
  • Prepare technical memoranda/reports summarizing information
  • Complete facility design services and support review of designs for compliance with code and energetic manufacturing processes
  • Support modernizing facilities in compliance with local, state, and federal codes
  • Collaborate/communicate effectively with other stakeholders internal to, and external to the design team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • A minimum of 8 years experience required, 10+ years is preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software
  • Experience with HVAC system design and system selection
  • Knowledge of mechanical compliance within an energetic manufacturing environment, including industrial systems with strict humidity and temperature requirements and explosion-proof equipment
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
