The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient safety. This position requires expertise in both adult and neonatal critical care settings.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various respiratory therapy techniques and will be adept at making informed decisions and recommendations to medical professionals regarding respiratory treatment options.
Additionally, the therapist will evaluate the effectiveness of these methods and communicate findings to the supervising physician.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate documentation, encompassing patient care records, interdisciplinary care plans, patient education, and appropriate billing for services rendered.
- Initiate and oversee both invasive and non-invasive ventilation in accordance with physician directives, including troubleshooting and cessation of therapy. This encompasses BiPAP, CPAP, and all forms of mechanical ventilation.
- Effectively communicate to educate patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding respiratory care protocols.
- Ensure responsible use of all hospital equipment and resources.
