Austin Industries is seeking a highly detail-oriented and flexible Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of our offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining room, as well as public areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize building floors, walls, and surfaces using a variety of cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized waste management system.
- Service and clean restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment, and polish surfaces as needed.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners.
- Mix and prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications, and use power equipment safely and effectively.
- Drive company vehicles to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensure proper vehicle maintenance.
- Monitor building security and safety, and report any hazards or concerns to management.
- Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to follow instructions and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and supplies, and to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
