Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Technician with 1-2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical fields. This role is crucial for the assembly of our products, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Role Summary:

The Production Technician is responsible for completing assigned tasks related to the assembly of vacuum circuit breakers and other products. The position demands a commitment to safety and quality, aligning with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and quality control documentation.
  • Follow technical guidelines and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Complete all required training as designated.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Safely operate necessary equipment to fulfill assigned tasks.
  • Perform various tasks across departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all relevant processes and procedures.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of relevant electrical and/or mechanical assembly experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints is desired.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and material handling equipment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy is necessary.
  • Problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary for operating company vehicles or equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for over 2/3 of the time.
  • Walking for less than 1/3 of the time.
  • Sitting for less than 1/3 of the time.
  • Climbing for less than 1/4 of the time.
  • Communicating verbally for over 1/3 of the time.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. for less than 1/3 of the time.
  • Hearing is required for all tasks.
  • Keyboarding for less than 1/3 of the time.
  • Close and color vision for over 2/3 of the time.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
  • Reading and interpreting instructions for all tasks.
  • Proficient use of English and grammar for over 2/3 of the time.
