Job Title: PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist

At Danbury Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments to measure their concentration in various organ systems for the diagnosis and treatment of specific pathological disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and teach nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with physicians, co-workers, and patients, providing exceptional patient care and monitoring during tests.
  • Prepare, dispense, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to quality control and radiation safety protocols.
  • Operate nuclear medicine instruments during scheduled and on-call hours, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Adhere to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, relating to and caring for patients with compassion and empathy.
  • Schedule, record, and maintain accurate records, utilizing proper phone etiquette and retrieving archival procedure records as needed.
  • Achieve the organization's established expectations regarding quality service, teamwork, and staff development.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • Zero to six months of experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Specialty Certification.
Salary Range:

$ hourly (Pay per years of relative experience)
