About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Standardized Patients for Osteopathic Medical Education. As a Standardized Patient, you will play a crucial role in supporting the education of future healthcare professionals by portraying simulated patient scenarios in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend paid training sessions to learn and master simulated patient scenarios.
  2. Portray a simulated patient, learn a clinical case, and accurately convey the scenario for classroom and exam sessions.
  3. Communicate with the Standardized Patient program about any personal reasons or concerns that may impact your ability to undertake a role.
  4. Follow and adhere to Baptist Health Sciences University and state health and safety regulations.
  5. Participate as a body model for Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) or ultrasound laboratory sessions.
Requirements and Preferences
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to consistently portray a simulated scenario repeatedly over a long period.
  • Comfortable portraying potentially challenging scenarios, such as emotional scenarios or tough diagnoses.
