Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a skilled Physician to provide medical services as a Fee Basis Provider (FBP). The successful candidate will perform medical histories, physical examinations, and review medical tests and documents related to consultations and medical histories.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical histories, physical examinations, and reviews of required medical tests and documents.
  • Assess applicant medical documentation and render medical opinions on applicant medical fitness for programs.
  • Do not supervise or give administrative direction to processing facility personnel.
  • Conduct physical examinations only and do not provide advice on programs or scholarships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a licensed Physician (MD/DO) with a current, unrestricted license from any state or jurisdiction.
  • Must have completed a residency or provided direct patient care within the last three years.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of post-graduate training accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Medical school must be accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess computer skills to access and update electronic applicant medical documentation, respond to email communications, and use internet sites for medical information.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include sitting, talking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
