Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Technician to join our team at Western Flyer Xpress. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify worn and damaged parts, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring that shop equipment is operating properly.
  • Cost Control: Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
  • Continuous Learning: Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; 1 or more years of experience in the Diesel Maintenance Field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task, solid analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including lifting or carrying 50lbs.
