Risk Governance Manager Job Description

The Risk Governance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the Bank's risk management framework is effective and aligned with its strategic objectives. This position is responsible for providing senior leadership of critical ERM functions, including implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Bank's enterprise-wide risk appetite, risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), and control testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Bank's risk management framework, ensuring it is aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) program, including process mapping, risk and control taxonomy, and risk analytics and reporting.
  • Lead the development and implementation of control testing methodologies, ensuring they are effective and efficient in identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ERM risk assessment and control testing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with business line and executive management to ensure the Bank's risk management framework is aligned with its strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of work experience in banking, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in managing an RCSA program.
  • Experience developing RCSA and control testing with a strong understanding of enterprise risk management and risk appetite concepts, framework, methods, and governance practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment, processes, activities, requirements of a banking organization.
  • Familiarity with GRC platform and reporting tools desired, Archer strongly preferred.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $131,221 to $196,831.
  • A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits.
