Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Senior Lifestyle. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as Senior Lifestyle guidelines.
  • Conduct admissions assessments and documentation for new residents, ensuring a smooth transition to our community.
  • Develop and implement acute and long-term care plans or service plans, tailored to each resident's unique needs.
  • Monitor and track clinical systems, such as wound care and infection control, under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Health and Wellness.
  • Provide general consultation and education to residents and staff on health-related concerns, promoting a culture of wellness and prevention.
  • Notify physicians and family members of any changes in a resident's health, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Ensure confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on the latest best practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse's License in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience working in senior care or a related field, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of older adults.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, handling multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
  • Dedicated, energetic, and passionate about delivering exceptional care and service.
