About the Role

As a Mortgage Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in leading our mortgage loan originators to achieve production goals, operational excellence, and growth. You'll be responsible for maintaining a personal pipeline of retail mortgage loans, recruiting and training elite talent, and promoting an effective sales environment through sales training and coaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Mortgage Retail Regional Manager in leading and managing mortgage loan originators to achieve production goals and operational excellence.
  • Maintain a personal pipeline of retail mortgage loans and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Recruit, interview, and train elite talent, as well as proactively retain current employees and manage performance.
  • Actively participate in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations to stay up-to-date on industry knowledge and current issues.
  • Communicate business goals, objectives, and company performance results to staff and promote an effective sales environment.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with other business lines within U.S. Bank.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and sales strategies, leadership skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed customer service and relations skills, as well as demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, services, operations, and current market trends.
