Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Jet Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing high-quality home health care services to patients of all ages.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure. One year of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation setting, or home health is preferred.

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being and participating in the coordination of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing clinical assessments to identify patient needs and determine level of functioning.
  • Develop and evaluate patient care plans in partnership with the patient, their representative, and caregivers.
  • Prepare and complete clinical notes, phone orders, and other clinical record documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide therapeutic treatments for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using appropriate tests and measurements.
  • Apply infection control and universal precautions to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
  • Communicate with all physicians involved in the plan of care and other health care practitioners as necessary.
  • Provide patient, caregiver, and family counseling and education.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Current State License in Speech-Language Pathology or meets the requirements listed in 42 CFR n); current Driver's License.
  • One year of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation setting, or home health preferred.
  • Therapy skills in line with generally accepted standards of practice; good interpersonal skills; proof of current CPR.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
