Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university and current State License in Speech-Language Pathology or meets the requirements listed in 42 CFR § n).
Responsibilities:
- Perform ongoing clinical assessments, including OASIS assessments, at appropriate time points to identify patient needs, determine level of functioning, and assess appropriateness for home care.
- Develop and evaluate the plan of care in partnership with the patient, their representative, and caregivers.
- Prepare and complete clinical notes, phone orders, and other clinical record documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide therapeutic treatments for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using appropriate tests and measurements.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
- Communicate with all physicians involved in the plan of care and other health care practitioners as necessary.
- Provide patient, caregiver, and family counseling and education.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Current State License in Speech-Language Pathology or meets the requirements listed in 42 CFR § n).
- One year of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation setting, or home health preferred.
- Therapy skills in line with generally accepted standards of practice; good interpersonal skills; proof of current CPR.
