Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physician to evaluate and treat patients with medical and surgical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with medical and surgical problems
  • Perform patient histories and physical examinations
  • Order laboratory tests and radiographic studies
  • Perform and/or interpret laboratory and test results
  • Initiate patient treatment
  • Respond to initial requests for service-specific consultation
  • Initiate or participate in initial management and stabilization of patients or other medical or surgical emergencies
  • Write appropriately authorized prescriptions
  • Perform routine or emergency procedures in accordance with clinical privileges
Requirements
  • Valid New York State license
  • Registration required with New York State as Physician Assistant
  • Certification with National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (or equivalent organization)
  • DEA from DOH/Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement
  • Current Infection Control Certificate
  • Basic MS Office Suite skill
