Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our team of physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including histories and physical examinations, to determine the best course of treatment.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and radiological studies, to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering therapies, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including consulting with specialists and referring patients to other services as needed.
- Document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current registration as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Experience working in an emergency medicine setting, preferably in a hospital or urgent care environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
