We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a licensed physician, evaluate and treat patients with medical and surgical problems.
- Perform patient histories and physical examinations, and order laboratory tests and radiographic studies as necessary.
- Initiate patient treatment and respond to initial requests for service-specific consultation.
- Participate in teaching and quality assurance activities with other members of the clinical department.
- Deliver direct patient care and confer with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care.
- Completion of a NYS-approved program for training of physician assistants.
- Valid New York State license and registration with the New York State as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (or equivalent organization).
- Basic MS Office Suite skills and high level of analytical ability to effectively diagnose and treat medical/surgical problems.
