The Electrical Engineer II provides technical guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the proper application of design standards and code requirements. This role requires collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments to meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks and adhere to engineering and design standards.
- Provide technical leadership to drafting, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and customer service teams in support of troubleshooting for our equipment.
- Lead or participate in multi-discipline product development and corrective action teams to address product cost, quality, and delivery concerns.
- Offer phone and in-person job site support for installation and start-up purposes for customer service and project management groups.
- Address questions regarding code issues.
- Perform research and development tasks to value engineer standard products and introduce new products to the market.
- Improve processes and procedures to enhance the accuracy, quality, and speed of the engineers' responsibilities.
- Lead or participate in technical reviews during all phases of the project from proposal to production release.
- Design complex controls systems that integrate hardware and software, including HMI and PLC programming.
- Design of HVAC control systems.
- Analyze and propose design concepts consistent with NFPA, UL, NEC code requirements.
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-8 years of experience or an Associate's Degree in Engineering with relevant experience is required.
