Position Overview
Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Beverly, MA
Compensation: $18 per hour
Work Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week (Monday-Friday, preferably either 5am-8am or 4pm-7pm)
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and safety of our Beverly Day Program facility. This includes performing cleaning tasks and executing prompt and economical maintenance repairs.
- Conducts general maintenance tasks
- Assists in moving furniture as required
- Replaces light bulbs as necessary
- Cleans restrooms, kitchens, and office spaces
- Sweeps and maintains floor cleanliness
- Provides assistance in cleaning home locations and, when necessary, supports maintenance at other Communitas facilities for special projects
- Assists with light plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and toilets, and repairing leaking faucets
- Engages in painting tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Participates in required agency training sessions
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Familiarity and experience with maintenance practices
- A strong commitment to supporting individuals is essential
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Must successfully complete company background and reference checks
