Job Summary:

Element Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to join our team. As a member of our PACE Interdisciplinary Team, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our geriatric population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist participants with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as directed by our licensed nurses.
  • Meal Support: Assist with meals at our site, including one-on-one feedings, and ensure that participants follow their diet and fluid restrictions.
  • Medical Support: Assist our nursing team with specimen collections, oxygen monitoring, and vital sign checks.
  • Communication: Report any medical complaints or changes in participants' physical, cognitive, or functional status to our primary nurses.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to support the care and well-being of our participants.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: HHA certification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience working with the geriatric population.
  • Skills: Ability to relate well to elders, anticipate their needs, and perform vital signs, lifting, and communication of participant changes.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with our team.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate Microsoft computer skills preferred.
  • Travel: Frequent local travel required.
