Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Marion County. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide individual and family therapy, conduct mental health assessments, and provide other therapeutic support services to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth in the Woodburn and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including screening for substance use disorders
  • Document services to meet contract, administrative rule, and billing requirements
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns, and other professionals
  • Provide case management services to clients and assist with accessing community supports and resources
  • Assist with making referrals for services
Requirements
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon
  • At least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field for Mental Health Therapist 2
  • Licensure by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents. Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.
