About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Hog and Tradition BBQ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front-of-House (FOH) Duties: Manage cash handling, operate a cash register, maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems, run food, ensure FOH cleanliness, pour beer and wine, mix cocktails, and fulfill orders for dine-in, take-out, or third-party delivery.
  • Food Quality and Consistency: Verify food for consistency and quality of food preparation and service.
  • Back-of-House (BOH) Duties: Maintain knowledge of a working kitchen and health department standards.
  • Team Management: Motivate employees to work as a team to ensure food and service meet appropriate standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend solutions to arising problems.
  • Employee Performance: Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies for employee performance expectations are followed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Communication: Possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
  • Task Delegation: Direct and delegate tasks, responsibilities, and expectations to staff.
  • Culture Development: Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the Hog and Tradition BBQ team.
  • Performance Management: Practice proactive performance management in partnership with the Corporate Culinary Team (and HR when necessary) to ensure adherence of employment policies and procedures.
  • Company Policies: Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Incorporate and administer applicable safety and sanitation programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
  • Culture Reflection: Embody, articulate, and reflect the Hog and Tradition BBQ culture.
  • Financial Performance: Achieve or exceed kitchen financial expectations (i.e., food cost, food efficiencies, labor costs, and direct kitchen expenses).
  • Menu Knowledge: Possess complete knowledge, execution, and enforcement of all food and beverage menus – including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Administer disciplinary notices when necessary.
