Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Surgical Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who embodies our company values by caring like family. You will be a vital addition to our team by utilizing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care until your patient is transitioned to recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup of instruments and equipment for your operating room, including the use of preference cards and the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs.
  • Coordinate and manage your room during surgical procedures as the circulator.
  • Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical cases.
  • Utilize proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and operating tables to prevent injury.
  • Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
  • Consistently review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Active RN license as required by state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
  • ACLS certification as required by the facility.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
