Job Summary and Qualifications
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in our success.
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you can expect:
- To oversee and direct the care of post-surgical and post-procedural patients.
- To utilize your specialized skills to serve specific age groups, which may include adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations.
- To rotate to areas beyond your assigned service area/s, performing only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
- To supervise and guide the care provided by assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS & PALS Certifications.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience required. PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care, or ED experience preferred.
Located in Aurora, Colorado, The Medical Center of Aurora features over 346 beds and encompasses five medical campuses. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor. The South Campus has a Level III NICU.
