Job Summary

The Kitchen Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Chef Team with daily kitchen operations, including recipe management, inventory control, and vendor relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef and Chef Team with daily kitchen operations, including recipe management, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
  • Collect and distribute recipes and ingredients between outlets.
  • Enter and maintain recipes in Eataly's database software.
  • Guide the Chefs on ordering, tracking costs, and completing Interglobo Orders if urgent.
  • Maintain order guides, logs, transfer sheets, and SOPs for BOH outlets.
  • Oversee monthly inventories: assist Chef Team in counting products, entering data into our systems, analyzing gaps.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, assess credits and shorts, and work with Inventory Control to resolve issues.
  • Receive Purchase Orders from other stores and process orders for shipment.
  • Act as a liaison between all inter-store departments and BOH.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience involving kitchen operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, ever-changing work environment.
  • Culinary experience in professional kitchens.
  • Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.
