Key Responsibilities:- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of HVAC Automation Systems, including detailed troubleshooting of systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service through direct, on-site customer interface and mentor mechanical technicians on building automation activities.
- Complete required project and service documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic control system malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of various electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and promoting the sale of add-on work.
- Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards, reporting problems or changes to management immediately.
- Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, providing safety awareness on work sites and mentoring and training mechanical staff on building automation systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational School or four-year program in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field.
- Three or more years of industry experience or five or more years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people, leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
- PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC-related software.
- Current valid Driver's License.
