Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis Leader

Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational effectiveness at SMX Corporation. This position demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in financial management, who will lead the FP&A team in delivering actionable insights and analysis to drive growth and profitability in alignment with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with the executive team to determine financial goals and operational plans that align with the overall company strategy.
- Oversee the monthly reporting processes, providing comprehensive analyses of financial performance.
- Identify trends, variances, and actionable insights to inform decision-making and enhance organizational performance.
- Manage and optimize the FP&A function; supervise the creation of reports, software implementation, and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
- Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive change throughout the business by providing strong, data-driven, analytical leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Director of Finance or higher.
- Proven track record in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear insights.
- Deep FP&A experience; strengths in reporting, forecasting, modeling, and deep-dive business analyses.
- Capacity to serve as a thought partner to the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and private equity partner, helping to inform, influence, and drive key business decisions.
