Langan, a leading land development engineering and environmental consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site/Civil Project Engineer or Manager to join its collaborative team in the San Francisco or San Jose area.
This key role will involve leading and supporting design and permitting efforts for a variety of land development projects, working closely with industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee design and permitting efforts for residential, institutional, commercial, and mixed-use projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Team Management: Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans, ensure staff utilization, and mentor junior engineers.
- Business Development: Participate in business development activities, developing new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Site/Civil Experience: Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and other site-specific aspects of land development projects.
- Storm Water Management: Expertise in storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation.
- Technical Writing: Strong technical and proposal writing skills, with excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Land Development Engineering: Demonstrated experience in all aspects of land development engineering, including geotechnical and environmental engineering.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- License: Possess a valid Professional Engineer license.
- Experience: 15+ years of successful site/civil engineering experience, with a concentration in land development on both small and large projects.
- Client Development: Strong client development and client management abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred).
- Professional Organizations: Active participation in professional organizations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Transportation: Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
