This key role will involve leading and supporting design and permitting efforts for a variety of land development projects, working closely with industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee design and permitting efforts for residential, institutional, commercial, and mixed-use projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Team Management: Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans, ensure staff utilization, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development activities, developing new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Site/Civil Experience: Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and other site-specific aspects of land development projects.
  • Storm Water Management: Expertise in storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation.
  • Technical Writing: Strong technical and proposal writing skills, with excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Land Development Engineering: Demonstrated experience in all aspects of land development engineering, including geotechnical and environmental engineering.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • License: Possess a valid Professional Engineer license.
  • Experience: 15+ years of successful site/civil engineering experience, with a concentration in land development on both small and large projects.
  • Client Development: Strong client development and client management abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred).
  • Professional Organizations: Active participation in professional organizations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Transportation: Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
