Position Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner I to provide onsite support.

In the role of Human Resources Business Partner I, your responsibilities will include:
Offering independent support to internal client groups on member relations strategies, programs, services, and solutions tailored to meet business objectives. Acting as both a business partner and member advocate, you will interpret, administer, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives. Collaborating with management to ensure fair and consistent adherence to corporate policies and practices is essential.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, human resources management, or a related field.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience or,
    • High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Human Resources generalist or specialist, including at least 1 year focused on employee relations.
  • Proven experience in counseling and coaching members and managers in HR-related matters.
  • Military Equivalency :

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting workplace investigations and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Background in reviewing and evaluating candidates for selection and program appropriateness.
  • Experience in HR within a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • HR Business Partners engage in specialized HR functions focused on consulting and coaching within the business, addressing significant people and cultural challenges, and providing expertise in employment matters such as hiring, termination, and performance management.
  • Embedded within assigned client groups, the HR Business Partner comprehends specific business drivers and concerns, establishing and executing action plans that assist internal client groups in achieving their objectives.
  • Facilitate cultural change initiatives by training and supporting both members and management, utilizing positive influencing skills and various coaching tools to ensure alignment with Haworth values and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business and HR teams to develop key talent initiatives, including workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Provide counsel and advice to members regarding relations issues, fostering a respectful work environment aligned with corporate values.
  • Drive the organization towards a culture of excellence, preparing leaders and teams for organizational change while ensuring employee engagement and motivation.
  • Investigate member concerns and complaints, consulting with senior HR leaders on appropriate actions and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Must be capable of performing all essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Proficient use of office automation, communication tools, and software utilized in the workplace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
