Electrical Mechanic Associate

The primary responsibility of the Electrical Mechanic Associate is to manage, repair and maintain production equipment in our Somerset, NJ facility.
This role requires an individual who excels in troubleshooting production equipment problems as well as proactively preventing issues delaying or preventing production of the company's products.
Main Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Repair, maintain, install and change over production packaging machines and lines. Troubleshoot packaging machine problems and make necessary repairs in a timely manner. Perform preventive maintenance on packaging machines and conveyors. Recommend improvements and modifications to production operations/machines. Performs preventive maintenance tasks following standards and schedules. This includes lubrication, adjustments and cleaning. Experience in LOTO training. Perform general plant maintenance duties and other duties as assigned (facility-related tasks as needed). Perform Electrical repairs to machinery. Install/repair sensors, switches, eyes, etc. as needed on production lines Understand PLC logic. Perform facility electrical work (light installations, conduit, etc. ) Support new line installations.
Understand Electrical safety Follow GHPs and Safety Rules
Qualifications:
High School degree 5 or more years' experience working with high-speed packaging equipment, systems and conveyors. Knowledge of electrical installations, PLC controllers, sensors, etc.)
Detailed knowledge of Robotics.
Working knowledge of motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, programmable controllers, servo drives, electronic components, facility installations (pneumatic, electrical installs), and mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. Proficient at operating machine shop and welding equipment. Experience troubleshooting robotics. Experience operating forklifts, scissor-lifts, and power pallet jacks. Ability to be flexible and work with a positive attitude. Experience with efficient line changeovers (packaging machines, conveyors, etc.)About Ferrero:
