RF Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As an RF Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing RF systems for macros, modifications, and small cells.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement RF systems for macros, modifications, and small cells
  • Perform intermodulation analyses of antenna systems and components
  • Calculate link budgets to evaluate system performance and reliability
  • Determine parameters related to antennas and analyze their effects on coverage and capacity
  • Submit E911 and TVW's to the CSCF team to meet activation timelines
  • Review real estate applications for accuracy prior to lease execution
  • Evaluate regulatory compliance for sites concerning health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Conduct EME analysis and generate required reports and documents
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with Nokia and Samsung
  • Knowledge of RF theory and design for 5G (any band) NR, 4G LTE, and CBRS
  • Strong understanding of various RF tools such as Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Google Earth, Atoll, Roofmaster, FUZE Planning, Tracker, Dashboard, SPM, RFDS, and Conquest
  • Knowledge of massive MIMO and 4x4 MIMO technology
  • Frequency/PCI/RSI planning and de-confliction
  • Knowledge of productivity software such as MS Office and Google Suite
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of scripting tools and automation using Visual Basic and Python
  • Coding and automation skills in any language
  • Experience with Model Tuning
  • Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters
