About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the Brien Center for Mental Health. As a Crisis Stabilization Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive assessments, brief crisis counseling, and individualized risk management to adults in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized tools to identify suicide risk and develop individualized risk management plans.
    • Provide brief crisis counseling and psycho-education to individuals in crisis.
    • Manage crisis situations and coordinate with community agencies and service providers.
    • Collaborate with Brien Center colleagues and other service organizations to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Maintain accurate and timely client records and documentation.
    • Participate in regular clinical supervision and staff meetings.
    • Attend agency trainings and provider meetings as scheduled.
    • Provide training and oversight to new employees and student interns.
  • Professional Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to Brien Center policies and procedures.
    • Maintain professional standards and ethics.
    • Represent the Brien Center in a professional manner in all community contacts.
Requirements
  • PhD, MSW, or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or equivalent graduate clinical degree.
  • LCSW, LICSW, LMHC required within 6 months of eligibility date.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in various settings, including offices, hospitals, police stations, patient homes, and community agencies.
