Job Summary

The Brien Center for Mental Health is seeking a skilled Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will work with individuals in the adult community crisis stabilization program to support their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop and implement recovery plans
  • Provide support and guidance to help individuals navigate systems and access community resources
  • Accompany individuals to meetings and appointments to support their connection to recovery supports
  • Encourage and support individuals in building a natural support network
  • Assist individuals in connecting with treatment and recovery support services
  • Transport individuals to appointments as needed
  • Attend appointments with individuals and support the development of a Wellness Plan
  • Communicate events and risk to supervisor
  • Meet with individuals regularly for short or long-term recovery coach supports
  • Participate in all relevant staff meetings, team meetings, and scheduled supervision
Requirements
  • Certification from an approved Recovery Coach curriculum within six months of hire
  • One year of continuous sobriety
  • Ability to pass CORI and DMV check
  • GED/HS Diploma
  • 3-5 years of Human Service background preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Open to medication-assisted treatment and harm reduction concepts and goals
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of community resources and support for links in the community
  • Strong listening, oral, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse community
Working Conditions

The Recovery Coach will work in various places in the community and at other Brien Center sites. The physical demands of the job include manual and visual dexterity, lifting maximums, pushing, pulling, standing, reaching overhead, and twisting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential tasks.
