Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled Education Program Manager to oversee the administration and operations of health profession education programs. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of educational software and technologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration and operations of health profession education programs, including teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, and program accreditation.
  • Develop, prioritize, and implement strategies to improve program quality, processes, and compliance.
  • Manage a team of staff to design, conduct, and evaluate teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations.
  • Plan and lead the implementation of program improvements, ensuring operational or program results align with overall organization-wide performance and reputation.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Administrative Officer and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures, as well as accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of 1 year of lead/supervisory/manager experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to recruit faculty and integrate learners, requiring high-level planning and coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote teaching and learning goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to operational and learning concepts.
  • Ability to solve problems and suggest solutions through critical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills with peers, learners, faculty, and other education program coordinators/managers.
  • Proficient in prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Ability to organize assigned staff and unit operations in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Proficient skills in training and guiding employees on site-specific administrative and operational processes.
  • Working knowledge of department, organization, HR, and university policies and processes.
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
