The Banquet Server is a key member of our hospitality team at Wilmington Convention Hotel LLC, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Banquet Server.

Responsibilities
  • Set-up, Service, and Break Down: Ensure that all assigned functions are set up, serviced, and broken down in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Table Setting and Maintenance: Set tables in assigned areas correctly and uniformly, and maintain a clean and organized station throughout the service period.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Greet and serve guests in a professional and courteous manner, following established policies and procedures for the service of food and beverage.
  • Assist Lead Banquet Server: Assist the Lead Banquet Server in setting up and breaking down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.
  • Suggestive Selling: Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in hotel banquet food and beverage service required.
