About the Role

The Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction with patients ranging in age from late childhood through late adolescence. This position ensures the safety of residents and offers encouragement and guidance to help them comply with programming.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous patient care and supervision
  • Interact with patients and offer guidance and encouragement
  • Ensure the safety of residents
  • Work under the direction of the Direct Care Supervisor
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques preferred
  • Must maintain a valid Indiana driver's license
  • CPR, First Aid certification, and successful completion of HWC within 90 days of employment required
