Position Summary:

We are in search of a Production Finance Supervisor who will be instrumental in the research, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of both domestic and international film and television production tax incentives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the entertainment sector and have a background in production accounting or auditing, complemented by exceptional research and organizational capabilities. The ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrate initiative, and work autonomously is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:

  • Deliver current insights on relevant global and domestic jurisdictions' procedures and requirements.
  • Provide timely summaries to production stakeholders.
  • Examine budgets for accurate tax incentive tagging and projections.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.

Coordination and Monitoring:
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and applications for various production incentives.
  • Track incentive requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance.
  • Generate monthly internal reports on projected incentives and anticipated timing of fund receipts.
  • Assist with incentive audits.

Communication and Support:
  • Collaborate with internal departments across the organization regarding all aspects related to production and VFX incentives.
  • Facilitate cooperation between internal and external parties to meet incentive requirements.
  • Implement practices from incentive administrators when applicable.
  • Support production accountants throughout the project lifecycle to ensure precise tracking and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in Production Finance with a proven track record.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of entertainment industry production, systems, and software (e.g., Movie Magic Budgeting, PSL, Cast and Crew, Smart Accounting, Excel).
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
