Research Programs
ASARI is structured around three primary research initiatives:
- AgriBioTechnology Program: This program utilizes advanced technologies to address agricultural challenges in Southern Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on plant improvement, biosaline agriculture, and the sustainable use of local resources.
- Water Treatment and Management Program: This initiative aims to develop cost-effective desalination methods and enhance water management practices for agricultural applications.
- Renewable Energy Program: This program seeks innovative solutions for clean energy production to meet local and regional needs.
Position Overview
ASARI is in search of an Associate Professor specializing in formulation to contribute to our biomass valorization research program. The successful candidate will engage in collaborative efforts across various departments to innovate and deliver impactful solutions. By keeping consumer needs at the forefront, the candidate will work alongside Brand Marketers, R&D teams, Engineering, Insights & Analytics, and Commercial Strategy partners to achieve business goals and enhance product design.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in advanced formulation science, particularly in biotechnology applications for agriculture.
- Exhibit proficiency in coating biotechnology.
- Possess knowledge in chemistry and biomass valorization techniques.
- Seek research funding through proposal submissions and liaise with funding organizations.
- Publish research findings in reputable international journals.
- Supervise graduate and doctoral students, as well as postdoctoral researchers.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in formulation/coating science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of research experience in formulation and coating science.
- A strong publication record in high-impact international journals (at least five publications in the last three years).
- Experience in mentoring Master’s and PhD candidates.
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal.
