We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Steel Tech Building Systems. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding steel materials to meet Steel Tech and IAS standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld steel materials according to shop prints and specifications.
• Operate cranes to rotate beams and perform back-gouging tasks.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished work meets job specifications and Steel Tech standards.
• Track and resolve issues, quantities, and wins.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints.
• Skilled in operating tools, machinery, and welding equipment.
• Skilled in maintaining clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Ability to understand IAS/AWS standards and procedures.
• Ability to maintain focused intensity and plan ahead.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

• Regularly perform repetitive tasks for long periods, standing, kneeling, and hunched over.
• High energy, fast-paced work environment, lifting 50 pounds minimum.
• Non-climate-controlled environment with dust and metal particles.
