Civil Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team at Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. (APC). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and managing land development projects, including infrastructure design, construction document preparation, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with team members and provide training/mentoring for junior members.
  • Assist Department Manager in preparation of engineering proposals and monthly invoicing for managed projects.
  • Manage project and staff schedules, and serve as a point-of-contact for clients, review agencies, contractors, and internal planning department.
  • Perform design of land development projects within Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software, and prepare technical design calculations associated with land development projects.
  • Perform technical review of drawings, specifications, calculations, shop drawings, and other engineering documents for conformance with project goals and requirements.
  • Attend meetings with Clients, review agencies, and contractors throughout the various stages of the land development process, and perform site visits and prepare associated field reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure in North Carolina.
  • Civil Engineering & Design experience for Land Development projects.
  • Advanced design skills in software programs such as Civil 3D, ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work closely with other team members and interact with clients and local review agencies.
Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $110,000 – 130,000 per year plus Commission (uncapped).

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
