About the Role:

The Apple Vision Pro represents a groundbreaking spatial computing device that integrates digital elements with the physical environment.

This technology will enable us to engage in beloved activities in unprecedented ways while maintaining connections with those around us.


The Vision Products Group (VPG) is seeking a seasoned Graphics Software Engineer to help redefine the future of interactive experiences on our platform.

This team is at the forefront of utilizing some of Apple's most sophisticated technologies, including spatial computing, augmented reality (AR), ARKit, and Metal, to develop innovative products.

As a vital member of our creative organization, you will have the exceptional opportunity to shape future offerings that will inspire and captivate millions daily.


Role Responsibilities:

Apple is dedicated to making advanced technologies accessible for creating remarkable user experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate within a team focused on developing system-level frameworks that enable these experiences, working closely with other pioneering teams across Apple and VPG.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and inventive atmosphere, eager to enhance, innovate, and explore technologies that empower creators to astonish and delight our users.

Engineers are expected to work efficiently and intelligently to assess the feasibility of concepts and technologies.

In addition to essential qualifications, a strong candidate will demonstrate a profound understanding of 3D graphics, GPUs, and possess the ability to write lower-level code.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in programming with C/C++
  • Strong grasp of 3D mathematics for graphics (linear algebra)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GPUs
  • Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specific range.

This structure allows for growth and advancement as you develop within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $197,400 and $296,300, and your compensation will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
