Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in the construction sector, particularly in podium mixed use, multi-family, and commercial construction. This role entails managing the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee construction projects from start to finish.
  • Analyze project requirements to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations on-site and off-site.
  • Coordinate and manage construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Monitor daily work progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Proactively plan to prevent potential problems and resolve any arising issues.
  • Negotiate contracts, draft agreements, and secure necessary permits.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain high-quality construction standards and proper techniques.
  • Manage the execution of construction tasks in alignment with project timelines.
  • Prepare and present internal and external reports on project status.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to maintain and update project schedules using P6 Scheduling.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Implement cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of all project resources.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety codes.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management, particularly with podium mixed use, multi-family, and commercial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Expertise in building materials, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software, especially P6 Scheduling and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.
  • A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with parking garage construction is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
