Role Responsibilities

The Finance / Sales Manager is accountable for ensuring the dealership achieves its unit sales targets and gross profit goals on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. This role also focuses on generating additional revenue through the sale of finance and insurance products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly projections for vehicle requirements by department for the upcoming 90-day sales period.
  • Establish monthly and yearly forecasts regarding unit sales, gross profit targets, and departmental profitability.
  • Facilitate the sale of financing and various finance and insurance products to customers.
  • Promote Extended Warranties and other aftermarket products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple finance sources, both factory and independent.
  • Process paperwork and secure approvals from finance sources for all finance transactions.
  • Meet with each salesperson daily to review previous results and outline the plan for the day.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings.
  • Coordinate pre-delivery processes with the Service Manager.
  • Provide on-the-job training for sales staff.
  • Manage all rate quotations.
  • Verify all paperwork for accuracy regarding titles, lien information, taxes, etc., and set monthly objectives.
  • Log sales income and verify insurance with customer agents, obtain deposits, and confirm trade payoffs.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in finance.
  • Familiarity with dealership finance and insurance protocols.
  • Prior professional sales experience is required.
  • Computer proficiency is preferred.
  • Professional appearance is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All candidates must perform their duties safely.
  • All candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, credit reports, and possess a valid driver’s license.
