Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and event clients, providing exceptional service and creating a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests with a warm and friendly smile, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and efficiently, responding to queries and directing calls to the relevant department.
  • Manage and respond to voicemails and messages, ensuring timely communication with guests and colleagues.
  • Screen calls and communicate with department managers and other Andretti management personnel as needed.
  • Maintain office security and control access to the reception desk, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including filing, faxing, photocopying, and transcribing.
  • Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries, ensuring timely processing.
  • Create and run documents using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs in a friendly and positive manner, demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with guest recovery and notify managers to ensure positive guest experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with Andretti brand, product, and policies, adhering to procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, interacting enthusiastically and working as a team player.
  • Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Attend required department and company meetings and training sessions, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work varying days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting up to 15 lbs, and performing functions that require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and stocking up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate quickly and accurately, with manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety standards at all times.
