Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our wound care team. As a skilled RN, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized wound care management to patients in an acute care hospital setting.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and passion for wound healing to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. You will be responsible for conducting patient rounds, reviewing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based wound care practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient rounds to identify appropriate treatment plans for patients with skin integrity breakdown
  • Review and make recommendations on treatment plans based on established hospital policies and procedures
  • Implement evidence-based wound care practices to promote optimal healing outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and training to staff members on wound care best practices

Requirements

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Texas
  • BCLS certification upon hire and maintain current
  • ACLS certification within 6 months and maintain current
  • Minimum of three years experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Knowledge of theory, techniques, and practices of wound care management
  • Wound Care Certification preferred

Benefits

AHS - Sherman Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
