Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Airport Commons fitness club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring exceptional member experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Club Operations
    • Manage the overall operations of the fitness club, including staff supervision, customer service, and facility maintenance.
    • Ensure the club is clean, safe, and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members, including assistant managers, member service representatives, trainers, and custodians.
    • Lead by example, providing coaching and guidance to staff members to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all members and guests receive exceptional customer service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Develop and implement marketing plans to attract new members and drive business growth.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to promote membership sales and retention.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the club's budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled and revenue is maximized.
    • Develop and implement financial plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • HR and Administration
    • Manage HR-related tasks, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, hospitality, fitness management).
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members, staff, and stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to drive business growth and profitability, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
