Your Team
Lovelace Medical Center is a 263-bed acute care hospital that provides comprehensive care, including emergency services, surgical care, and radiology services. We're proud to be a part of a team that's dedicated to making a difference in our community.

Responsibilities

Documents EKG rhythms, measurements, and changes in patient records
Completes daily checks to ensure telemetry transmitter boxes are functional and accounted for
Maintains constant communication with primary RN and articulates wave patterns using medical terminology
Troubleshoots with RN regarding lead wires, electrode, and battery changes, and proper lead placement
Monitors and records physiological measurements, including six-second strips as indicated by patient condition
Maintains and cleans equipment and supplies
Assists in Code Blues, cardioversion, and reprogramming of pacemakers by running monitor strips as appropriate
Notifies BioMed of malfunctions and problems with equipment as soon as possible

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Telemetry Certification or ability to obtain certification
CPR/BLS certification
CBO; Medical Terminology
Preferred: Associates degree in related field and one year of experience in specialty area
