Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Math Interventionist to join our team at North Panola School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise to the teaching team to achieve the greatest degree of student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all activities of the teaching team to ensure effective instruction and student learning.
  • Assume responsibility for the continual improvement of the quality of instruction and develop resource files for the team.
  • Plan and implement individualized approaches to the learning problems of students served by the team.
  • Encourage team members to use new methods and materials and offer in-service workshops and training as needed.
  • Meet with other lead teachers to discuss new materials and programs, evaluate present programs, and consider problems of mutual concern.
  • Meet and confer with parents as necessary and assist team members in evaluating all students.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Class A Mississippi teaching certification with five years of teaching experience preferred and meet requirements for a valid Mississippi teaching license.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
