Cottonwood Store (Cottonwood, Arizona) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our sales floor team and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute retail operations plans to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  • Monitor product levels and ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers, and work to de-escalate customer situations while finding an appropriate solution.
  • Ensure store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
  • Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill's mission and serve as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales floor, ensure that Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
  • Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns, and ensure that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures.
  • Travel to other Goodwill locations to assist other stores and attend personal training and development classes.
  • Build a high-performing team, responsible for performance management, staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
  • Model Goodwill's Core Values – Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • One-year work experience in Retail Management required.
  • One-year customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
